Installed at the bottom of the tank to create an efficient thermosyphon effect that generates continuous agitation of the tank’s contents. The heating fluid can be steam, oil or water.
Total cost (heaters and installation) is lower than traditional heating coils.
Vertical heaters using finned tubes can also be used (eg; for sulphides) and installed at the bottom (V type) or on the walls(W type) of the tank.
The “T” type is used for fuel tankers and tank cars; they are immersed through the roof with no connection inside the tank.
